EDIT: ok it's definitely for occasional/non-permanent underwater use. Over time, the water still leaks out. I have about 6 months of use in the watering can. At this price I don't mind changing the pump once or twice a season. The Irrigation Bucket Option 2 allows the pump to be raised above the waterline when not in use. Said to be submersible, but cables and bearings are not sealed/waterproof. All of them leaked water into the chamber after a few days. There are other pumps that work fine. avoid it.
