Light years better than my old 18v angle grinder A well balanced paddle switch is way better than the old regular trigger. Finally, while it's a bit more than a non-flat head sander, it's worth getting into tight corners with a cutting wheel or wire brush.

I love everything about this grinder. I needed it and have been using it since the day it arrived. Like any cordless power tool, it drains the battery pretty quickly if you use it for heavy work. Grinding metal or cutting thick objects that pinch the blade drains my battery in 1-2 hours, but there is still enough time to change batteries in the charger. With normal use, the battery lasts several hours.

The head is much thinner than a standard angle grinder. Good for tight turns. It had the same great kickback brake as the stock 20v xr. What really exceeded my expectations is the design of the removable protection. The only grinder I've ever used that doesn't require removing the disc from the shaft to install and remove the guard. Especially when you consider that using a flat head is primarily associated with the need to get into hard-to-reach places.
