Description of 🧴 Soothing Facial Cleanser by Differin Gel, Gentle Face Wash for Acne Prone Sensitive Skin, 4 oz

Conditions skin as it cleans, made without soaps, fragrances, or active ingredients that can cause irritation or dryness. PH balanced formula that cleanses gently, can be used without water and is gentle enough for everyday use. Rinses easily and leaves skin feeling soft, smooth, and healthy. Dermatologists recommend using a gentle, non-irritating cleanser such as Differin Gentle Cleanser when using Differin Gel (0.1% Adapalene).

Never again Differin products!

I wrote a FULL review of Differin Balancing Moisturizer on why I don't like Differin products. They made my skin burn terribly! With this particular product, I honestly couldn't stand the fact that it didn't lather. I didn't feel like I was cleaning my face at all. I just felt like I was rubbing hair gel mixed with water all over my face. Minus the stickiness that hair gel has. I just couldn't think of anything with the same consistency.

Cons
  • Hard to say

Although the gel works great I found the cleanser to be too mild

I bought this cleanser thinking it would work well with Differin Gel which I also ordered. While the gel works great, I found the cleanser to be too soft, difficult to lather, and didn't seem to cleanse my face very well before gelling. For best results, I would recommend using another Differin gel facial cleanser.

Pros
  • Wide Range
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money. The product does not clean the skin well and dries out the skin around the eyes. A few weeks after I stopped using it, I'm still struggling with red, scaly skin around my eyes. Beware

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Don't remember

Not effective on oily, acne-prone skin

This cleanser is so mild it's almost useless. Although the product claims not to irritate the skin or strip it of its natural oils, the cleanser doesn't cleanse my oily, acne-prone skin. Doesn't foam, which doesn't bother me; However, I feel like I need to use more product to cover my entire face. And if I want to exfoliate my face with a washcloth, once I apply the washcloth, the cleanser will be absorbed into the washcloth. Overall, I don't recommend this cleanser for oily, acne-prone skin.

Not what I expected

Expected a little more from this as I really like Diferin gel. It seems to me that it is of no use and has not helped my acne at all. About 4 weeks of use. I really like the moisturizer though.

Can be very irritating to skin despite the word 'gentle' in the name.

This "mild" cleanser was terribly irritating to my skin. Two weeks later my eyelids are still red and itchy. (I'm not exactly sure how it got on my eyelids - maybe while rinsing) I see a few others complaining about this cleanser and wondering if it shouldn't come with a giant warning label that we all totally understand can ignore. in any case before using the product.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
