Gets hot and flickers when dimmed

Light is good , but the bulb gets very hot 🔥 and won't dim without horrible flickering. I'm not sure why the manufacturers of these lamps think they are for sale? Send them back as soon as possible.

Pros
  • Energy saving: 3000 Kelvin, 12W, dimmable, produces 1200 lumens of soft white light, saves 85% on energy costs when replacing a 100 watt incandescent lamp
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

3 out of 4 lightbulbs I installed died in less than 12 months

Advantages: They have excellent light output. I needed something brighter than "regular" equivalent 75 watt bulbs and they filled the bill. Bad: Out of 4 lamps, 3 died between 10 and 12 months. I suspect that soon the last lightbulb will burn out. It's a shame as the light output is great but not worth changing your headlights every year.

Pros
  • Durability: Made of corrosion-resistant aluminum and lenses, good heat dissipation, low power consumption, long lifespan of 50,000 hours, reduces the hassle and cost of frequent lightbulb replacement
Cons
  • Not sure

MULTIPLE PROBLEMS Suitable for incandescent bulbs

A few questions. The lamps were sent in a padded envelope, so one of the bulbs broke. Who sends lightbulbs in an envelope? Crazy. The specified beam angle of 24 degrees is not very accurate. I set one up in a 9ft can and it spans more than 40 degrees. Cheap plastic glass. If beam angle is important, check out Satco lights - they're a lot more expensive, but these lights are perfect in colour, brightness, CRI and angle. The brightness is closer to 800 vs 1200 lumens. 3000K color seems accurate…

Pros
  • Excellent LED lighting: Full brightness instantly when switched on, with COB, high color rendering index (≥85), always shows true and natural colors of objects, no flicker, no glare, anti-eye fatigue
Cons
  • Available only in white color
