Great price for 2 remote controls. Easy setup to work with my Sony TV. With the new remote, I went to the Direct TV menu, Settings, Remote, TV and then followed the on-screen instructions. My TV was the first code that popped up. We didn't use the batteries that came with the remote, instead using Energizer batteries.

Here is one of the customer's questions. Will this remote replace the direct RC65X remote? Components I have an RC65X and it doesn't work. After 2 hours of trying different codes (and by the way, the code that should work showed up), I'm giving up.

Wrong remote sent because they no longer had the RC66X. Instead they sent RC66RX. I was unable to program the RC66RX to control my Samsung TV because according to Direct TV customer service, the RC66RX is not compatible with Mini Genie system receivers connected to the TV, even though it controlled the receiver itself but not the TV. I called a third party who told me they don't have the RC66X and they will ask Revain to credit my account and I don't have to send them the wrong RC66RX back. I…

These are nice remotes but I can't get them to work with my TV. They say they replaced my RC65X remote but no success so far. I went to YouTube and watched some videos on how to program them, tried them all a few times but couldn't get them to work properly. Can't turn off the TV. I'll keep trying, but I don't have high hopes. Very frustrating. The included instructions are very basic and completely useless. I'm not very good at these things, but the videos are very accurate and easy to follow.
