💜 Deluxe Purple Descendants Costume by Disguise Review

The picture shows full sleeve gloves/sleeves, but this is not what we received. The costume is a full body jumpsuit with short sleeves, a small vest and small gloves that only reach the wrist. My daughter still loves it but we are disappointed that the sleeves in the picture are not included.

Fits true to my daughter's size. She is a size 7, about 4 feet tall and slim. It doesn't fit her body, but fits like a glove. I bought a size 7. She loves it. It's not a thick material, but it looks nice and doesn't feel super cheap. She's worn it many times since Christmas 2020 and it's still holding up! I was not disappointed with my purchase.

My 7 year old loves the costume but we noticed some problems right away. It is important to note that a number of embellishments are missing, the most important of which is a seam on the front of the jacket that supports the collar and prevents the white lining from slipping out (see photo). You can quickly fix this by sewing the stitch on the sewing machine like I did above. My daughter (descendants obsessed) loves this costume! I would never order such an expensive costume and buy a wig in my life but alas hahahaha I knew she would end up having a lot of it so I gave up. It's still just thin, thin polyester, but she's worn it through the rain and wind. It fit her perfectly, and the little biker jacket that came with it was surprisingly durable. The gloves were starting to lose threads but to be honest she wore them all the time! I recommend!

Ok for the price; However, I really wish the size was different. This is size 4-6 for kids. This is not suitable for a child who wears a size 4 as it is quite tall (my almost 9 year old niece can wear it and she is quite tall). Luckily I have a friend who sews and knows how to hem legs and arms. She had to hem them at least 5 inches for my 4 year old to wear this. My daughter loves her new Mel costume.
