📷 DJI Phantom 4 Pro/Pro+ Gimbal Stabilizer Lock/Lens Camera Protector (Part 71) Review

Fits great, works great, 100 skips. The plastic material is a piece of crap that breaks easily when it snaps onto the landing frame. This is my 4th, no matter how careful I am it still breaks. The plastic needs to be easily pliable to bend, not hard and brittle.

This gimbal replaces the one that was broken where it was attached to the chassis. I had no problems with this clip as it does exactly what it is supposed to do but I think the design will fail just like the old clip. Sometime. Integrated obsolescence helps companies stay in business.

OEM part works perfectly as expected. Of course you still have to be careful not to break the plastic, but my drone is very happy with this part. Keeps the camera locked perfectly and gives me peace of mind when driving that the camera is locked in my bag. Excellent OEM part, just like the original.

My original gimbal lock broke where it attaches to the support post when trying to remove it. After much hesitation, I decided it would be wise to get a replacement. I used the replacement about 4 times before it broke just like the original. This part needs to be made of less fragile plastic or the part that locks onto the leg needs to be redone. It's too expensive to keep changing it if it keeps breaking.

The package I received was a genuine OEM replacement part from DJI which meant it was a perfect match for my Phantom 4 Pro. Please note that the Phantom 4 does NOT have the same camera as the Phantom 4 Pro/Advanced/Pro 2.0 and will not fit properly. However if you have a Phantom 4 Pro, Advanced or Pro 2.0 this is a direct OEM part and will fit exactly like your original gimbal. I think most aftermarket filters probably won't fit. unless they are exactly the same dimensions as the Phantom…
