Too big for a normal lamp

Too big for a normal lamp. They are over 7 inches tall. They screw into the lamp, but they're huge. Too bad, because they have a bright, warm lighting.

Pros
  • Not only usable for the intended purpose
Cons
  • boring packaging

Works great, plants love it

I bought this to light up plants. They have a wide spectrum of rays and so far my cacti and succulents are thriving and seem to love it. Would buy again

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not bad but...

We recommend the lamps to anyone who loves bright white light!

I actually bought photographic lamps on ebay and they said they were for photography. They give off such a bright light that we use them every day in the office. The photos were great too! You've only been with us a week. I think the price is very fair, but we have no idea about the durability.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • dim

Great lighting, good for camera and photography

I love these bulbs. I was introduced to these lights for photography in 2012 and have been using them ever since. They are very bright and last a long time. They also generate heat, so be prepared for some cooling if you're indoors and other enclosed spaces. I highly recommend them for many reasons other than lighting in photography. Hope this helps those who need to read this.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Good size, bright white light and the price is right.

Excellent bulb. Good bright white light. Bought these to light up plants. Good size at 45W, gives lots of light. Maybe like a 225 watt lightbulb. The medium size makes it adaptable to many lamps and sockets to illuminate medium sized plants. Brightness 5500K. The packaging is excellent, in individual boxes lined with foam. Good job slow dolphin.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Be sure to let them warm up before you start shooting, especially if you're taking hand measurements during setup. From the moment you turn it on to 15 minutes, the difference in light output can be 4-5 levels. I plan to only turn mine on for 10-15 minutes before I start doing anything. They are bright enough but not as bright as I thought. Should be suitable for shooting with any DSLR that can handle high ISO well enough. Longevity is a problem I can't solve yet, I haven't had it long enough.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
