Steps felt too sluggish. It would be nice if they were stiffer as I think finding the hole in the dark when climbing down a tree can be difficult - I bought it for deer hunting. Otherwise I think it will work as expected

I cannot confirm the quality of the product as I could not use it for the purpose I bought it for have . I bought it to hang on the side of the dock and try to get out of the water. Since there was nothing to pry up like a tree or stand to put the strap on I couldn't use it that way. It just pops up when you put your foot on it.
