Avoid this automotive fan assembly

This replacement part would have been ideal for my car if it wasn't flawed. As my tests showed, this fan assembly did not function consistently and when it did, it made a lot of noise. I ended up having to return it and buy another brand.

Pros
  • Functional when it worked
Cons
  • Made loud noise, inconsistent performance

Fan installation problem

Well the price is damn good but the package is bad. Dorman's product is a success, but this one is a failure. Maybe just a bad batch, but in our business it has to be right the first time and it didn't. We lost money on this job.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works great but no mounting hole

Works great but no mounting hole. You need to drill a new hole in the 1989 Honda Accord. It's ok, install the upper part, and then mark the position of the lower hole. Take it off, drill a hole and put it back in.

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Nothing
