Nice little dish

I like this oiler. This is a great and beautiful way to keep butter soft and ready to spread. Just look out for the wooden lid. Mine fell off the first wash (although I taped it with a gorilla). It would be nice if the company decided to change the design a bit so that the lid screws into the ceramic instead of just being glued on.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

My first butter dish

This butter dish is great! It's smaller than I expected, but only about an inch tall, and the handle on the bell itself looks like metallic copper in the picture, but it's actually just brown wood. But it works great and we use it every day. And now our butter looks beautiful on the table, and not on a plate that can't be covered with anything.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Do not buy! by Dining & Entertainment

I would like to know how to contact the seller about this item. Assuming it was hand wash only. The first time I went to wash, I literally submerged the china piece under water, being careful not to touch the wooden handle. I understand how wood absorbs water and how bacteria grow and it pisses me off. Even trying to dodge the handle all together, the tree just popped out. I suppose it's literally glued on! That's why it happened right away. How are you supposed to thoroughly clean something…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required
