Arrived quickly, easily installed.

Replaced the CenturyTel DSL modem with this one with no problems. Just had to contact CenturyTel tech support to get the password for it. The last few weeks works better than the original.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • A long time ago

Terrible product. suitable for cables and connections

Terrible. This item kept asking me to plug the phone line in after a few reconnects. I've tried this in two different homes with the same results. I called ASUS and they couldn't help me and I even called Century Link to find out the problem wasn't on their side as I knew it wasn't the case. Product at a low price for a reason. Stay away.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Difficult to remember, but it was

I wouldn't work for myself!

I couldn't set it up, reasons kept coming up as to why it couldn't connect to the internet so after a few of us I decided to return it.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Basically ok but...

Just works great! for computer accessories and peripherals

Modem "so far so good". Plugged it in and answered a few questions and it works. WI-FI seems to work well, I was actually skeptical about getting it without seeing many good reviews but decided to give it a try, honestly I don't know why some of the other reviewers struggled, I got it It's been a few weeks now and I have to say it's working perfectly!

Absolutely perfect for AT&T VDSL

This device was outstanding! It automatically tuned to my father's VDSL connection from AT&T (Southern California region). I couldn't believe how easy the installation was. It also combines its own router/access point, eliminating some of the equipment normally required. It doesn't have many features that modern routers have, but if you just want a basic, secure Wi-Fi network and a VDSL modem, you can't beat this thing!

  • Glitter
Cons
  • Compatibility

Meet all computer accessory and peripheral needs

I bought this DSL modem/router to replace a broken Motorola DSL modem. As others have said, AT&T no longer provides you with a DSL modem and wants to charge you $100 for a wireless G gateway. This ASUS was a lot cheaper and I had no problems installing it (apart from using the wrong AT&T password - see other users' comments about this). I would have done it in about 5 minutes if I hadn't. I've been using it for about a month with no problems - it's very nice, especially since I've replaced two…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Functionality

Great modem and router!

I had no problems with this router and modem! I've owned this for over 2 years and the only complaint would be that it gets hot at times. But to be honest I was setting it to 2x6 when it happened. It's been on the table ever since and I haven't had any problems since. Also nice is the ability to restrict specific Wi-Fi users' data and create guest Wi-Fi networks. The web interface is pretty good too.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Little things
