The tape tends to slip and stick to the roll, requiring you to manually peel and reload the edge almost every time. The black roller needs to be tacky to keep the tape taut. Also, the tape itself is so thin that it's difficult to peel off the edge without tearing the tape down the middle. A lot of tape is wasted in downloading, reloading, and reloading.

This dispenser keeps losing the end of the roll of tape so it can run home and reattach the roll. Get ready to spend joyful moments assembling that lead and trying to make it one when it really wants to break up into multiple segments! Special treat: I've had it for less than a year (eight months) and the idle chrome that's supposed to hold the tape leader has started shedding bits of chrome when it manages to hold the leader!

It's not worth it! Frustrating and Sticks

Having just packed a 3,000 square foot home with this tape dispenser, I can say I will never use it again unless it is necessary. It's poorly constructed and the tape gets stuck in the dispenser requiring you to constantly stop and untie it. As for the razor blade to cut the ribbon, good luck cutting evenly and where you want it. I wasted so much tape because it didn't cut what I wanted. I ended up using scissors most of the time. This caused far more frustration than it was worth. I wish I had
