They are doing their job! I use them to clean my weapons. They are firm and have a good amount of cotton. To be clear, shafts are not designed for making ka-bobs. They're on the skinny side, but they do what I need. If you want really strong pieces of wood I don't think anyone makes them at this price point. I love these and would buy them again.

Speaking like a professional lab tech, these are the exact same ones I used every day and hoped to find in the civilian market. And in terms of price, it's less than a cent a piece. So if you get some weak ones, use a few together in a bundle. Still cheap.
