Replacement takes a long time. It requires you to take this colon vacuum apart to the middle, but after you turn it on for the first time. Yeah, you know, that's shittier than a $5 prostitute on a Saturday night. Watch a YouTube video and pay attention to what you are doing. My four year old and I took it apart, installed it and put it back together in about 45 minutes.

Looks and feels like a genuine Dyson part. The Dyson engineers must have been stoned when they designed this part! The screw-on clip for fixing the hose is made of plastic! Also, you have to disassemble the whole ball to put it back. Be sure to check out the YouTube video on replacing the DC41 inner hose assembly. This repair is definitely worth it considering the cost of a new Dyson vacuum!

I have a DC65. I ordered this part because my original is full of holes. This product looks the same as the original as far as I can see, but I refused to disassemble the vacuum cleaner because it is very tiring and time consuming. Return a new, unused part. Everything is fine with the part, the problem lies in the installation. My advice is to buy a new vacuum cleaner or have it repaired at a workshop. However, I would avoid the Dyson brand with a new one.

This fixed my vacuum cleaner but it was quite a tedious process. I had the necessary tools, but it turned out that some of the screws were difficult to access, so I couldn't use the spare screwdriver I had and had to buy a full, thinner specialty screwdriver. You're basically disassembling the whole ball. Dyson should definitely make replacement easier, as the breakable clip is fully visible without disassembly.

Well, the unusually thin, delicate and small red clip at the end of the hose has broken off (shockingly) and there's no way to replace that special red plastic cap because it's glued to the hose by the manufacturer (listen, Dyson!) . February 2018 update, my part broke again exactly 10 months later! ! This time it's broken at both ends, not just in the red area. Now we are arguing with my husband about replacement or repair.
