This belt had a distinct odor. Turns out, this isn't all skin. The back is made of composite material. Plastic, rubber, I don't know. I had to send it back. Couldn't stand the smell.

So I love this belt. However, it was only a week. The real test is how long it will last. I've bought belts from Kohls and Walmart and they last eight months to a year. Wish me luck :)

I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Prices in retail stores (that have this type) are exorbitant. Great fit, love the fact that you can zip it up where you want it. So if you lose or gain weight, it's not a problem. durable material, should last me a long time.

I bought two of these, one medium and one large, because I didn't know how they would fit. I sent the big one back. One thing to note, they smell a bit musty when they arrive. There was no obvious water damage to the packaging and the strap was fine. The smell is completely gone after a few days of hanging it in the closet.

I ordered an update to an old RL Polo belt that has stood the test of time. But this is far from the quality of the RL belt. This strap did not last as expected. The leather surface will eventually be scraped off by the buckle as it is tightened, leaving dangling pieces of leather on the top surface. This is irreparable.

This isn't like the woven leather belt I've had for 30 years (it's a fused weave compared to the braided type of my old belt) but the solid pin holes have many and more user friendly than the old braided version which causes tension problems due to the old twisted pin position. This distinction makes this belt a winner.

This was a nice, well fitting belt when new. However, after about a month, the black trim has worn away where it goes through the buckle. Less than 2 months old, looks worn.

Purchased in September expecting a full leather strap. After 3 months it started falling apart and the photos show 7 months. I wouldn't buy this again. Also, be careful in your search. Genuine leather belt showed me this belt and I regret the purchase.

This belt is much better than the normal braided belt, very good quality and construction. It's a bit wider than I expected than the photos, but that's not really a problem. After a few months of use I have no doubts that it will last a long time.
