and Django Unchained) I have to say I love this subwoofer

I recently purchased an Earthquake Sound MKIV-12 Supernova subwoofer. It replaces an old 12" JBL subwoofer. After watching several movies on Blu-ray (The Expendables 3, Guardians of the Galaxy and Django Unchained) I have to say that I love this subwoofer. The louder you turn it on, the better it sounds. My theater room is 12" x 12" and fills the room with deep, ringing bass. My setup is an Onkyo THX2 receiver and Mirage speakers. If you're looking for a subwoofer at this price point, look no…

Fiction! in Home Audio

Great Sub! It's a bit pricey, but it reproduces clear and clean low frequencies. I use it with my Yamaha 152BL soundbar and the results are fantastic. I set the crossover to 70Hz for music and 100Hz for TV and movies. If I actually run it I know the neighbors must hate me lol. My living room is 15 x 20 feet and on this setting it really fills the room with clear sound. A good song to explore the power and clean bass response is Don Henley's "Dirty Laundry" with the Eagles. The perfect movie to…

Definitely not 450W RMS

I'm not impressed at all. I received this subwoofer and was 3 days late. I was really looking forward to the extra bass in my home audio system, but after plugging it in and listening to it, adjusting it to my desired listening volume and crossover settings, I noticed that it was extremely underpowered. I took the unit to my dyno and saw that it put out 170 watts RMS. Definitely not advertised 450 RMS, MUCH poor performance for the price. I could get a Klipsch that would top it for half the…

Devastating but musical!

I currently use 4 different types of earthquake subwoofers and they all outperform the usual high quality audio you buy at big audio stores. I have a Supernova 15 Gen 1. I also have a Mini-me P8 and P10 plus this monster. I have many friends who have very expensive high end audio systems like me and they have all switched subwoofers to earthquakes because if you want musical bass that literally kills everything this is the way to go. I'm not exaggerating, if I turn on my system in the basement…
