Breaks off with minimal tightening force

The screw holes are very poorly shaped. The block broke during installation. He pulled the propeller casting through himself and there was little to no resistance. I had to use the boldness of this on my old non-pull chain base so I could get the function I needed in the space. Even after drilling out and massaging another block to allow the pull chain mechanism to be used, I had no trouble installing it.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember

For years I have had problems with the porcelain version of this type of lamp socket. The chains break and when I try to fix them the china breaks and I have to buy a new one. About 2 years ago I had to replace one and I did it with the plastic version and since then I haven't had a single problem with it so I finally decided to put extra lights and outlets in the corners of our basement I chose this one brand. Bought three of these and our electrician installed the wiring, boxes and light…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Good product at a great price

I was looking for something similar to replace an old fluorescent tube in my garage with an LED shop light. The lamp I chose had a three-pin plug. Since I didn't want to rewire a shop light, I decided to use this ceiling socket with a plug instead, so that I can connect a shop light. If the lamp burns out, I can just put the bulb in the socket while I change the lamp. I don't use a pull because the light switch was already attached to the outlet I'm replacing. The jar is made of hard but easily

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
