I purchased the EBL battery charger because the cost of disposable batteries has gotten so high. This charger is very reasonably priced. It is equipped to charge 8 batteries, AAA and AA. You can charge either 8 of one size or in sets of each type. It also came with 4 of each type of batteries. When I received it, I plugged it in and installed the batteries to charge. I purchased a different EBL charger a few years back that was USB powered. It worked fine with no complaints, but I let my daughter take it with her when she went away to school last fall. I replaced it with this newer model that has an actual power cord. The battery slots are easier to load thanks to corrugated leads at the positive end that allow you to push until the clicking stops. UPDATE: Customer service reached out to me apologize and looked for a solution to remedy my experience. Unfortunately it is true that the battery diameter is bigger than regular batteries and the same goes for any other rechargeable brand (which i believe isn't common knowledge). However EBL did offer to replace the two batteries that got damaged as well as compensate me for the mouse I used that got damaged as well. I have to watch a YouTube video to learn how to use it. Maybe yours came with instructions? I tried to use it, but my batteries never charged, though they all had green colored lights. It seemed straightforward when I went to charge my batteries. They were all the same brand, but the number ratings on them are different, so maybe that has something to do with it? The order was delivered in a timely fashion. The charger works, although with one set of AA batteries, it took longer than I expected. It's a great set up, but after you charge the batteries and put them in the storage container they don't stay charged. I went to use them and had to charge them again first.

AA size batteries are awful and do not last. AAA seem to be better for some reason.Update: After leaving my initial not so glowing review, the seller reached out to me explaining that I may have received a bad lot. I was sent replacement batteries and reminded of my warranty should I have future problems. Very pleased with their customer service and happy with the performance of the new batteries.
