I bought this and Soft 7 at the same time to compare. The soft 7s were cheaper (on sale) and I prefer them to the 8s. The 7s feel noticeably softer on your feet and are more comfortable overall. The Ecco Soft 8 looks great but is uncomfortable to walk on and the sole wears out quickly. This is one of the best leather sneakers on the market. Very comfortable and also slightly water repellent. The biggest problem is that there is no men's size 8.5 in the US. So I had to order US 8 but after a few months it got a little bigger. But still, it's a very comfortable pair of shoes to wear every day at work. Definitely recommend.

Real leather is soft as butter, tight construction, good support, hyper neutral color goes with literally any outfit, perfect fit and overall aesthetic on topic. I sleep in these shoes. Very stylish for work or everyday wear. However, not the most comfortable Ecco. After decades of cheap shoes, I stopped only wearing Ecco. Unlike all my other Ecco shoes, they took a while to break in. After 8 hours of inactivity, they start to hurt their legs. In comparison, I could wear my classic Ecco shoes day and night in an instant.

I love these shoes. They are exactly what I expected when I ordered. And the price of this brand is great. They are a bit tight but I usually wear 2E or 4E. They are of medium width. They are comfortable nonetheless. And they come with a foam insert. I put them on a stretcher overnight and they are beautiful. Eccos tend to be wider than most other brands.
