Eco-Friendly Daylight Spiral Bulbs 4-Pack: The EcoSmart Alternative Review

Bought 12 bulbs, 3 have already burned out. Will ship for your 3 year warranty. Update: I managed to get a $15 refund from the TCP manufacturer, but 4 more came out. Only 7 out of 12 have burned out in less than 12 months.

I use these tubes with a Power Zone PZ-300 8.5 inch current clamp for video work. The color is great for video and the performance is just right for my small studio. Now I use three flashlights, all with these bulbs.

I wanted a bright fluorescent bulb for the darker winter months and they work well for that purpose. By replacing three conventional 60 watt light bulbs with them, I get more light and use just over 1/3 the electricity. Haven't had them long enough to comment on durability but will change the rating if they turn out to have a much shorter lifespan than advertised.

This is a product that I have installed in many places in my home and workshop. It was discontinued from the Big Box Store (orange) where it was originally obtained. and I wanted exact color replacements. This is exactly what is described and what I wanted. although the price is a little higher than usual.

These lights offer amazing value for money. I bought these to replace some broken lightbulbs in my photo softbox (which required around 5100K). They were a lot cheaper than the "manufacturer recommended bulbs" from the softbox website. I don't have to worry about breaking another one in the future at such an affordable price. I have purchased the 60w Ecosmart daylight bulbs and am happy with them. I like brighter light. After using them for a few days, I decided my kitchen lamp needed more lumens, so I ordered 100 comparable daylight lamps. Really creepy, they appeared, looked good and disappeared after 30 minutes. I like their light although I prefer 6500K over 5000K and all these CFLs burn out early or have a high failure rate. I will say if you go through a few bad ones and carefully put all the good ones in their place, they will last a very, very long time. For some people 6500k is so bright it gives them a headache and it's going to be a great compromise and way better than 2700k bulbs which emit red light and I just hate it.
