Durable, warm and water-repellent.

I love this coat! No complaints. i live in seattle Good to handle in rain and cold. That's not unflattering, even though it's a straight-cut coat. Haven't used it without a liner yet so remains to be seen how it will look without a liner (will it be "baggy"?). Eddie Bauer is somewhat (unfairly) overshadowed by the makers of Outerwear of the Day, but I believe they make a durable, warm, waterproof coat. I will buy more if needed.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to it
Cons
  • Hard to say

The best all weather jacket on the market

This is one of the best jackets I own. The removable inner insulation layer works great in cold conditions (Washington, New York or Boston winters), while the waterproof outer shell is ideal for hot and humid conditions (Miami monsoons). This is the best travel jacket for those who live without a suitcase and don't know which country or continent they might be in next year. The jacket is stylish enough to be worn with formal work wear, yet practical enough to be worn with casual wear.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Sleeves and chest tight

I'm 5ft 2in and 127 lbs. Put on trousers/top in size 6 (34 B). Ordered it in a small miniature. The length is perfect, mid-thigh. Good feed. I tried on this coat with a sleeveless shirt underneath. The sleeves of the jacket are very tight (I have thin arms) and too tight in the chest. (I want to be comfortable in a sweater). I felt like I was suffocating. I wanted this coat to fit me because I just loved the style. I sent the little one back. I'm still debating whether to risk the medium…

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • boring packaging

I loved this coat for its style, lining option, large hood and quality. The disappointment is that if you're wearing anything other than a thin cotton blouse, narrow shoulders prevent much movement because it's very narrow and the cuffs are wide and long. I only have to go medium for the shoulders, but then the sleeves are longer even in miniature. For me it's worth it as the rest of the coat is exceptionally good. Unfortunately, the middle one now costs $50 more than the small one. I can't…

Warm, chic coat

I ordered this coat because I liked the simple cut and the length. I wanted a warm, waterproof coat to be comfortable on my commute to and from work. I wasn't sure how it would hold up in very cold weather, but it works surprisingly well with some layers! I would definitely go up a size as it's a little tighter in the arms. The increase in size meant the coat was snug but not tight - I didn't want to end up with something that would clash with my underlayer or be too big and unflattering…

Not what I thought or advertised.

Well, I've wanted a tunic-length raincoat for a long time, and when I found this one, I thought it was it. However, it is much longer than it appears in the photos and therefore looks like a large gothic cape. I also chose black because I really liked the silver liner, but when it arrived the liner was black. It also seems larger or chunkier than I thought it would be, but it wouldn't fit if I ordered a smaller size because it fits my chest, armholes and shoulders very well. I'm 5'7", 145 lbs…

No extra space for bulky sweaters under coats.

I am a tall woman who usually wears a size 18. I ordered XXL after looking at the size chart. The fur is beautiful, fits like a glove. You can't wear bulky sweaters with a buttoned lining underneath. On the last and first of September and October we are going on a cruise on the Baltic Sea (8 countries, different weather). the weather can fluctuate between cool and cold!. I think I'll be fine with the lining without wearing a bulky sweater underneath. The only change that needs to be made is the

The perfect travel coat for a rainy, cold holiday

Looking for a *waterproof* raincoat or raincoat for an upcoming trip to a rainy location in Europe. But I also needed something that (with layers) could keep me warm enough when the temperature dropped at night. This coat looks perfect. I followed the advice of some other reviewers who noted that the coat is small or narrow in the shoulders and a size larger than my usual size. I ordered XL (instead of the usual L) and it fits perfectly with some space. I can easily change into a light wool…
