The only negative is that I wish they had the same top. This blue color was hard to beat. Otherwise these shorts are cute and fit well. Sometimes I don't want to wear a bikini or swimming trunks because of the water sports I sometimes participate in.

The color is so pretty the only thing I don't like is that they have a pad that leaves lines on the panties. I shouldn't have lines on my bathing suit panties, if the lining was longer this wouldn't happen. You can easily trim the liner. The material is thick to help hold mom's dog up, the length fully covers the hips. The belt is wide, does not roll. I ordered my normal size, lg, they fit perfectly.

You have built-in underpants that do NOT match the outer shorts. The two steps are completely different. So if you wear them as the inner lining will allow, the crotch of the shorts comes almost to my knees with so much sagging. If you try to pull them up so that both of your steps are level with your crotch, you'll end up with the worst wedge in the world. And you can't cut out the lining because the shorts are too see-through.

I bought these for the upcoming rafting trip but wore them for sports (speed walking/aerobics). I'm 5ft 3in and 122lbs and the large fit well. I'm pear shaped and carry most of my weight on my back and hips. The dry wick shorts I bought at Walmart were also oversized so I would say they are true to size. I thought the inner underwear might be itchy but it was ok for a workout. No slipping or riding up. Note: I haven't worn them in the water yet. I will update the review as soon as I do.

I bought them mainly for running. You do the trick! I have "trunk in the trunk" (not the stereotypical "runner" body type) and these shorts are not made for that.
