I bought this as a monitor for surveillance cameras that record wildlife. It has good NTSC video inputs, no problem. Since I use it outdoors and it's sometimes difficult to shade the monitor in direct sunlight, I was hoping for a very bright picture. It's not as bright as I'd like, but it's better than many car DVRs I've tried. If it were a little brighter I would give it 5 stars for what I use it for. Excellent portable TV. I would like to comment on the verification of the instructions inserted on the screen. They're not actually glued on, but if you try to pull the blue tab in the lower-right corner, it looks like an act of Congress removing that protective plastic sheet from the screen.
