I bought 3 of these duvets and washed them before use. After washing they are suitable for full size beds but would be small for a queen. I had to manually reinforce the corner seams on all three duvets that came apart in the wash. But the duvets are soft and light and would go well with the beds in our lakeside cottage.

I have a queen bed but I bought a king bed so if it shrinks I still have pretty big enough. I washed it and there was about 2 handfuls of lint in the dryer's lint trap, which is what I expected since the blanket is a cotton blend. The diamond weave side of the blanket is soft and the other side has a very soft matte finish. This duvet replaces an 8 year old Vellux duvet that fell apart and had to be thrown away. I was looking for a summer blanket and found out via Google that bamboo can have a cooling effect. Sometimes I would wake up drenched in sweat under my fluffy blanket. The first night I crawled under this duvet, I was too cold and had to cover it with a fluffy duvet that stays on 90% of the time.
