Hardly any differences between the settings. This is only visible when fully open, down to the lowest settings. Everything in between seems practically irrelevant.

I was able to install this easily. This worked for three ceiling fans connected together. For something you thought would be easier to find, it isn't. Stop searching, it's good for your fans.

This solved the problem when the faucet only pulled a three-wire for two fans. Most switches in the store these days only fit on a fan. This can work with multiple fans. I switched the light to a different switch.

Used to control two Hunter fans in series with one switch. Works well. I might be happier if the lowest spin speed was a little slower. But since I first tried the Hunter brand 3 speed derailleur where both slower speeds were too slow, this Emerson derailleur is much better.

4 speeds HI MED MED MED as there is no noticeable difference between MED, MED-LO and LO settings. The fan runs at medium speed on 3 out of 4 settings so it was really just a 2 position HI and MED switch. Their silent fan also hums very loudly, making it impossible to use in a quiet environment. I had to throw the switch away because it can't be returned after you broke off the mounting tabs on the side of the controller to put it in a multi-switch box. Very disappointed, would give ZERO stars…
