Looks cheap in AV accessories

Some images are misleading and do not correspond to the product. . The cables are 12.5 inches long, so be aware of that before you buy. The overall appearance and quality is poor, seems cheap, but I haven't had a long usage test to give a proper rating, but that's my first impression.

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Non 18 AWG is best for A/V accessories

The wire says it's 18 AWG and the plastic on the outside is the right size, but if you strip the wires you can easily see that it is 20 AWG. So it won't handle as much current as it should and might even melt/burn from the small wire used.

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • Repair

Powering an 8-pin GPU?

I got mine yesterday and tested it on a breakout board. It only seems to power 6-pin connections to 6-pin connectors. All attempts from 6-pin (on the power supply) to 8-pin (on the GPU) did not work. Does anyone else have this problem? I tested it on two different GPUs.

Pros
  • PCI EXPRESS POWER CABLE: standard 6-pin connector to connect to power supply, another 8-pin connector (6+2) to connect to GPUs.
Cons
  • Some bugs

Saved my @#$ - Cables & Interconnects

Def comes in handy when you're limited to an 8-pin header and GPUs with multiple 8-pin or 8-pin/6-pin combinations. Don't split the same line more than once! For powerful GPUs, use 1 non-shared line and 1 shared line per GPU, each from separate 12V supplies, or you will likely run into problems.

Pros
  • 6-PIN AND 8-PIN GRAPHICS CARDS: Compatible with 6-pin and 8-pin graphics cards from popular manufacturers ASUS, ASRock, Radeon, Sapphire and Gigabyte.
Cons
  • Something else
