Stock up on AA LED lamp cartridges

I bought six of these lights to give my grandma more light under the cabinets in her rental kitchen. They take six batteries, which is a lot, and then suck those batteries dry in less than a month. She only uses the light when she's cooking or doing the dishes at night, so I know it's not always on. They're fine in a pinch, but I wish they were more efficient. We spend a small fortune on AA batteries.

Pros
  • LED Lamp - Energizer LED strips illuminate the dark areas of your home. Ideal for pantry, closet, laundry room, garage, workbench, shed etc.
Cons
  • Zweifel

Great lights but lousy mounting options

While the lights work well, the mounting options aren't that great. There is no template for mounting with screws, so you'll have to make your own. And the worst thing is, the double-sided tape sucks. One of mine was attached to the bottom of the closet. Well, this single lightbulb fell off the cabinet and knocked the glass diffuser off the cabinet. Let's just say it's uselessly smeared across my tile floor. Be careful when using double-sided tape!

Pros
  • Inexpensive - 2 sets of 70 lumens each provide a reliable light source of soft white LEDs
Cons
  • Big and chunky

RF mode drains battery

Each individual unit has an on/off switch with RF. I leave the switch on RF so all three devices light up at the same time when I use the remote. Since we are on the road most of the time, I rarely use under-table lighting (about once a week for a maximum of 1/2 hour). At first the brightness was exactly what I wanted. However, the newly purchased batteries for all three devices were slowly draining and after two months only one device was still working and it was very dark, and after a weekโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Remote Control - Two modes, wireless remote control with 15m signal range or slide switch for manual ON/OFF control. The remote controls the lights from up to 15m away, so you never have to enter a dark room.
Cons
  • Miscellaneous, Miscellaneous
