Fits my 2002 Silverado

These EPAuto CP791 (CF8791A) cabin air filters fit my 2002 Chevy Silverado. They're cheap and fit well. Installation isn't as easy as I'd like, but that has nothing to do with the filter. Chevy forces you to remove a fairly large cover (3 bolts, 2 different sizes) on the passenger side and then another screw of a different size holds the filter cover in place. They use metric and English screws. The filters seem to fit well and should be enough to filter the cabin air.

  • Delivery was very fast

The quality seems good for the price. Maybe not the best.

They're almost certainly cheaper to order than buying from your local auto parts store, but your local auto parts store may have a better quality filter. The thickness of the filters seems good, but they seem a bit dated, maybe they've been sitting for a while. Not necessarily a bad thing as the price was good, but something to keep in mind if you're really looking for the best filters. I will try other brands in the future even if they cost a little more. Nice to have unlimited airflow

Perfect fit at a great price. When I bought my Silverado I had very little airflow from the vents. As soon as I realized there were cabin air filters in there, I pulled the filters out and they were so dirty it was amazing the air got through at all. I have run the system with no filters installed and then with new filters installed and there was no noticeable difference in airflow. It's great that the air conditioning and heating are working properly again. These filters proved to be as goodโ€ฆ

  • Satisfied so far

  • Quality

I have had several of these LSX generation trucks. This is the CHEAPEST activated carbon filter ever! I installed it on my 2001 Suburban and it fits perfectly. A strange smell came from the air vents, I sneezed a lot and realized that it was time to change the cabin filters. They say once a year but I live in Dallas which is very dusty and has a lot of tree pollen/allergens in the air so I do it twice a year! case before installing new ones. Great price probably the same as Fram Freshbreeze

I went to Wally World and tried the Fram Freshbreeze they had and decided to try Revain for a lower price before installing it. Got this EPAuto and later compared to Fram. They literally look exactly the same - same charcoal gray filter material, same font used to letter the logo, etc. The only annoying thing about this EPAuto pack is that one filter has a directional marker and the other doesn't. It's easy to figure out which way the unmarked filter should be moving (one side is darkerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • No performance

I just changed the filters in my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe with these new filters and I can really tell a difference in the heater airflow. Replacing the filters was a bit of a hassle as you have to remove the plastic crash bar on the passenger side to get to them and the fasteners holding the crash bar are quite difficult to access. After removing the impact protection, it was easy to install two new filters. The entire process probably took me about 30 minutes, but someone with more flexibilityโ€ฆ
