THIS is a great lightweight summer quilt. Filled to the brim with softness. And not hot at all. And it has a blue border and is as thick as the pictures. AND Hush! HOORAY! Lately the comforters I've bought have been comforters, crunchy and loud - loud enough to wake me up. And it's quiet, soft and cool. I love it! This is a good all-weather duvet, so if you really like sleeping hot (ie always hot) this is not for you. Any cool feeling you get from this blanket comes from the eucalyptus fabric being in direct contact with your skin simply because it is mostly cool to the touch.
