ExcelSteel 299 Stainless Steel Butter Review

I wanted a bowl with a rim for easy gripping and a notch in the lid for easy opening. That fits the bill. The metal base also doesn't break if dropped like glass - that's what happened to my last one. The lid is transparent so you can see how much is left. The base is wide so it fits both EU and US sized butter and I can easily balance with a knife on the edge of the tray. Our all-time favorite butter dish.

Yes I know it's acrylic not glass but that's honestly one of the reasons I love this bowl too! It's lightweight and will hold either a large (European style) or 2 regular packets of butter. Oddly enough, the handle at the top of the oiler is so hard to find! (Why don't more companies make lid handles?). I LOVE IT AND LOOKS SO NICE. Got this and it's really good for two sticks of butter! And additional metal edges. You can stick a butter knife in and it will be held and balanced by the lid! Its worth it! It's been over a month now and still great! Really unbeatable for the price and the quality is great too! You can see the oil and everything. Easy to clean. We wash our hands but don't know if it's dishwasher safe because we don't have a dishwasher. Some people wrote mixed feelings about it…
