A lot of them are a firmer size which I like better as for example a powder brush that is too soft wastes a lot of my expensive powders which I hate. Some of the shapes in this brush set struck me as a bit odd, especially the large face brushes. I'm usually used to tapered brushes and denser bristles for applying foundation. While kabuki-style brushes might work for some people, they tend to eat into a lot of my products, especially foundation.
