Easy to use - camera and photo

Very easy to use. Looks pretty accurate. The only criticism is that the screen is not backlit. I use a photometer to assess landscape lighting. The illuminated display helps in the dark.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Outdated

Good light meter light meter

Works very well but I have two small flaws: 1. The cable is a bit short so the sensor can't be too far from the meter. I'm using this to measure very low light levels in an enclosure, so that's a problem.2. It measures negative light conditions! How is that possible? Am I standing next to a black hole? You should have put it in brackets at 0.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good counter, no autorange.

The meter works well. My only complaint is that the range isn't automatically selected. We're using it as a replacement for another Extech autoranging product, so losing it was a bit of a downgrade. If you use it a lot, range switching becomes second nature. But that's disappointing, the product has gotten worse over time, not better.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • No work
