I bought a 36" fan and pulled the breaker while assembling it. Motor/switch opening. I had to open the motor case (of course the fan is off) and add a piece of chain to the small piece of chain that was left there. Needless to say it worked like a charm and I didn't have to replace the switch.

If you have children, this is the best! Mine can't reach changing fans and lights without a step stool, so I have to do that all the time. No longer! I used scissors to cut the chain to the length I needed and I completed it in 10 minutes. My kids love being able to set their own fans and lights!

Originally used as a traction chain replacement. But again, the old adage "you don’t make them the way you used to” certainly applies here. The first section I installed broke after a few weeks of moderate use. I dismissed this as an accident or literally a weak link. The replacement part broke yesterday. I think I need to consider alternative material.

When I ordered them I didn't think much about their length, I only got the ones that looked good. It turns out they are quite long which is good value for money. I was able to lengthen a cord that was too short (why I bought it) and replace 2 other trains in my house with just one of the chains. Simply use wire cutters to cut the beads and use the extra connectors. Good price for this chain length and extra connectors.
