Ok I was able to fit all the LEDs into the correct individual parts but. I did encounter a small manufacturer error: the dock LED I found was a tighter fit, as if it had been cut a few millimeters thick for the console it went in and worked. But now you can't get it out without damaging it. Perhaps by design, and both joycons are now configurable and the LEDs look great, but the flap door for the ribbon cables in both joycons popped out, they didn't break. Great product! When you open your friends to change the case, you can also adjust or change the lights if you don't like green. They are much brighter than the originals in your joycons. Very easy to install if you take your time and have a little patience. An alternative to this product is to buy mini LEDs and solder them to a ribbon cable that connects to the Joy Con controller rail, no fun. The dock is easy to take apart once you find all the screws to undo, and it's a nice touch that befits

I purchased this kit and this is my review of the LED kit. I blindly analyzed the entire project and used my knowledge of electronics to carefully redesign the console and make these exchanges. Take your time (took me 4 hours total) or find a shop or friend to do it for you. That being said, if you plan on just swapping out the LEDs and nothing else, there's an easier way to do it. Carefully lift the plastic piece holding the LED ribbon cable and remove, replace, just do it the other way…
