I liked the feel and looks of this hat. It's supposed to be a good cold weather hat. I used it two times first time it was 30 degrees with 10-6 mph wind. Second time was 19 degrees with 3-0 mph wind. Both times my forehead felt like an icecube/brain freeze. Also the ear flaps had to be so tight to keep out the breeze that I felt like I was being choked. Also this has a thin lining not insulated. This is a good looking hat, but the straps which hold the ear flaps up are next to impossible to work with. They are very awkward and you have to work too hard to secure them. meanwhile your head could be freezing because it can't be done without taking the hat off. When the ear flaps are in the up position, the ears are completely exposed, so the only part of your head being protected is the very top.
