I bought a dark gray micro suede clutch and it went great with my sparkly rose gold dress. It's a nice neutral/warm taupe. The fittings are muted gold, not too light. Black linen lining. It easily fits my iPhone X, keys and a few cosmetics. It's a magnetic clasp, but it's positioned correctly so the lip balm doesn't slip out accidentally.
