I LOVE this book. I had so many problems choosing a template for the first one! What I like best is that the design is a modern take on classic patterns. The fonts and frames appear dated, although the sayings are more modern. The "How To" section is also helpful. I'm self taught and have been doing this for almost 6 years so I checked it out before starting to make sure I was doing it right. Stephanie's instructions are very clear and concise. Can't wait to sew again tonight!

The 40 patterns she's created are consistent with the aesthetic she's maintained in her Etsy shop over the years. Haven't done any projects yet but love the choice and already have a list of things to do next! It's a liberal, smart book in many ways, but I think it's a great thing and some of the quotes are very inspirational. I especially like the "She Still Persevered" and "Strong Women: Can We Know Her, Can We Be, Can We Raise Her" designs? I'm making this last one for my friend who just had a little girl as my very first choice from the book. While most of the designs are pretty standard and expected…
