    If you wanted a brown belt, forget this article. He's really black. The inside is (irreversibly) brown and the outside is black. This was the second type of Filson belt I've bought this way. All labels say brown. The belt design is fantastic. Very durable. The company is difficult to manage. Bad customer service

    The quality etc of the belt is ok but it is a full 1 inch shorter than the same size Filson belt I currently have. Emailed Filson to ask what they think and got no response. A little disappointing.

    disappointed as I expected more from Filson. The belt itself isn't bad, but you can get better for the price. As another pointed out, "brown" appears black and the buckle doesn't exude "quality". The skin looks good, but nothing outstanding. I expected more.

    Real leather is good for me

    Old fashioned genuine strong leather that holds up the pants and belly. I still have the Filson I bought 20 years ago but I needed a smaller one. Black buckle - improved appearance.

    I wasn't looking for an exchange. The belt appears to be an in-between size. I was afraid the next size might be too big so I just kept it and still don't wear it. What I find unusual is that the strip of leather (or tongue) that runs after the grommets (holes) and pointed tip is significantly shorter and would require recalibration. I would still recommend going up the size though.

    The only belt I wear

    This is my fourth Filson belt in 20 years. I wouldn't own any other. They're durable, comfortable, and made in the USA. I like to wear them with evening wear and when they are put on they transform into a work belt to which pockets of tools are attached.

    I've had this belt for 4 years now and it's still in great shape. Maybe the last product is of lower quality but the one I'm wearing is amazing. I wear it every day, to work, at home and even to church. As a locksmith, I have not found a strap that has lasted more than three months. I bit the bullet and spent the money and I have no regrets.

    Nice leather, nice clasp. Be careful with the sizes and follow the instructions. The sizes of men's belts are very inconsistent. Following the instructions I ordered 36 which fits perfectly. But my pants size is actually 33.
