As you can see in the picture the filter does not fit perfectly side to side to ensure a tight seal. Even though it's labeled 14x24x1 I had to manipulate it to keep it out of the intake port. It does the job while I wait for my regular filters to arrive, but I won't be buying them again.

Ordered them in June right after the block was replaced so I would have them when it came time to change the filter. And of course it's been a long time since they were returned. These filters are not the size stated in the description but are 1/4 smaller in length, width and thickness. This allows air to flow around the filter, preventing you from getting 100% filtered air through your unit. Again NOT WHAT THE DESCRIPTION SAID!

This is absolutely great value - at least half the brand price and looks good overall. It is smaller than the listed size - 5/8 inch on each side. That's not a problem for us as the full-size case is actually a bit cramped and we don't have any issues with it moving or falling out due to the positioning. On the other hand I would not use this brand in our other blanket return as I clearly see the smaller size being an issue.

Haven't installed air intakes in my oven yet but wanted to share 2 that seem to have manufacturing issues. Because of this, the weaving pattern of the mesh filter is slightly distorted. The 4 filters also stuck together as if the glue hadn't dried when they were packaged. I plan on continuing to use them to avoid return issues but will never buy this brand again unless they compensate for an item that appears damaged.

I bought these filters because I knew they were smaller than almost all other 14x24x1 filters. The "full-size" filters fit my system very snugly - I actually have to bend down and squeeze them to insert them. They're small enough that I don't have to do that. They could be a little bigger and even better, but this size is adequate and makes changing filters a lot easier. Get the pack and see how it fits into your system. I will definitely keep buying them.

These filters run small! From my understanding of how filters are measured, the size listed should match the filter opening. In this case, the opening should be 14x24x1. They are actually 13 3/8 x 23 3/8 x 3/4. According to the standard for measuring filters, measured values should be rounded to the nearest inch or half inch. These filters are designed to fit the 13 1/2X 23 1/2X1 aperture. If you want to mount a 14X 24X 1 hole like mine you will find they are 1/4" smaller all around.

I used to have filters from this brand. I had Merv 11. They worked great. I did notice that the Merv 11 sounded a bit louder when the return airflow went through the filter. After reading the reviews I decided on Merv 8's this time. I just installed them so I'm not sure if they get dirty quicker or more pollutants pass through them but they are much quieter. Having lived in the same house and buying the same size filters for 24 years, these are the smallest filters I have ever seen. I have had filters from Honeywell, 3M Filtrete and Perfect Pleat in the past and they all fit snugly in the filter compartment of a standard recirculation grille. These appear to be well made filters with quality materials and at a very competitive price. A minor complaint is that the filter is a bit smaller than most. 24x14 is actually 23.5x13.5. Actual size of most other brands is 1/4 inch or less smaller than advertised size. The consequence of this is that the filter is NOT held in the frame by the friction cams.
