Nice case and I like the hard clear plastic case back. The only downside is that the clear plastic is very slippery and the case is difficult to stay open when folded. I'm deducting a star for that, and also for the fact that a small area of hard plastic is already torn and has a rough edge. However, it's not worth going back.

The product is light, my daughter loves it and it fits and works perfectly on her iPad 4. However, durability is a toss up your mom can use if it's neat is in the house and lasts five years, your brother might take it to a community college for a month and destroy it, who knows? It does exactly what it says on the tin, inexpensive, lightweight and functional. The flip cover manages the wake/sleep function as promised and folds into various viewing stands as desired.

My 'leather' case ripped and I had to find a replacement. I liked having a lid that folds down to support a tray for easy viewing, so this was the feature I was looking for. It has a translucent plastic back that snaps into place. Easy to reach charging port and all buttons. The front cover is like pearlescent vinyl on the outside and velvet on the inside. Unfortunately the hard plastic back of this case is not durable even with light use/drops. I bought this case in July; It is now December and I am throwing away the case as it has torn on one side and is no longer holding my iPad securely (iPad keeps slipping out). My previous case for this iPad lasted over four years. Disappointing.
