It is a very simple device, but it does what it promises: supports cooking without the wind disturbing the flame. Simple but ingenious, it seems to be very durable in the long run. I like it!

It's quite windy here in the Southwest and it has helped us seal the fire to evenly heat our disco. Before we bought this we had to build a wall to block the wind when cooking outside but to keep changing the wind direction and blowing flames creating heat on one side of the disco. This helps with light to medium gusts and wind.

I was hesitant to buy this but after a walk on the balcony with my fire disc I realized I needed something to control the wind. I jumped on it, after which the device got noticeably hot during the cooking process. It is very well made and folds away when not in use. I used my fire disc in the wind and it worked. However, I used my Fire Disc at the same time as the Wind Helm and noticed an increase in the amount of heat I was able to hold in the disc.
