Exactly the part I needed to repair my Fleck 5600 Acid Backwash Filtration System. I took the time to swap out the timer motor while I was working on it and it was all fixed in less than 15 minutes. If your filter head is leaking or the plunger is stuck in the backwash, this will solve the problem! Easy to remove the old one and put in the new one. Better if the plumber charges $150-250 for the parts.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

After a bit of research on the internet and YouTube I found out that this is caused by a bad piston and/or seals. YouTube videos accurately documented the installation and installation was easy - just 7 screws. It turned out that my piston was bad, which was indicated by the notch on the side of one of the ribs, which was getting bigger and increasing the leakage. If you…
