Withdrawing my original review

My original review see my review in May : Great shoe, a little slippery at first like any leather soled shoe but after a few days of wear they break down. I find these shoes to be of good quality and great workmanship. I withdraw my review. They are comfortable but don't last. I do not recommend

Cons
  • Too long to wait

disappointed with shoes

I had these shoes for about 6 months and the toe came loose before the stitching and there are tears on the cross strap. I've only worn them a couple of times and I'm not picky about shoes. The top shouldn't look like this even after many years and several re-lays.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • The lace is shorter than the others

I've only been wearing moccasins and slippers COMOS

Florsheim Comos for over 40 years because they wear out after about 2 wears and keep their shape for about 5 years. Recently my feet have become more sensitive, so very hard shoes don't work. I've seen reviews where it felt like the quality was suffering. I have 2 pairs, black and oxblood, both new - one direct from Florsheim, the other from Revain. So far I see no difference. They look good and feel good. The time will show.

Heels and soles separately

This is my third pair of Comos shoes. In every pair, the heel has come off on one or both shoes. I also had to change the sole after about three months because the sole literally came off while walking. I contacted the manufacturer directly who reassured me that I shouldn't have this problem, but I assume they are aware of this issue and have no intention of fixing it. My shoemaker agrees.
