Sounds good! - exhaust

I love this double glazing! I installed it on my 2004 Jeep Tj Rubicon and it sounds great. I have a complete cat remover setup and would highly recommend this exhaust if using the same setup. I've been using this exhaust since 2005 and just replaced it with a new Flowtech hot glass package to get that deep raspy rumble back. I have a 4.0 I6 hub and everywhere I go people always compliment its sound. that sounds mean!

Pros
  • easy installation
Cons
  • sad packaging

sounds good. and I also feel extra horsepower from him!

Feeling horsepower because my muffler was broken inside so it was restricting and my cat was partially clogged. lol but he has a guttural rumble. Eventually I might replace it with a next length glass pack to get a deeper tone. I welded mine to my exhaust pipes. This is on my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ 5.2L V8. I would buy it and recommend it to everyone. The red color didn't last 24 hours. The exhaust got hot and burned out. :-D

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons

Spend extra money on OG Thrush

I used to buy Thrush brand insulating glass units and install them for similar applications. This muffler is nowhere near as good as the Thrush, the original sound seemed louder but it was a horse, the package burst after about 3-4 months (2000 miles) making it very noisy now and the whole paint burned off. almost immediately. I didn't want my car to be so uncomfortably noisy, I'll have to cut it down and find something else to weld it in place. Really annoying.

Pros
  • . Nice
Cons
  • Legacy model

Amazing deep sound, camera really hears

2010 SS/RS Camaro, TL Stage 4 Camo, Header. Two local muffler shops told me that the glass bags were outdated and that I should buy Flowmaster fx mufflers, which I did. They never had the sound I was looking for so I installed this Flowtech double glazing. I love them, they have the sound I wanted. Reminds me of a 1969 Roadrunner I had in 1969. Don't let anyone tell you they are out of date, this sound will never be out of date as far as I can tell. Ordered 2 more to put on my 1978 Bronco.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

I like this glass pack

I like this glass pack. This gave my '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 5.2 V8 Magnum a nice, deep, bassy, slightly breathy and harsh sound. It's quite loud, but not too loud. It has that signature double-paned sound, but it sounds quieter than a cherry bomb, and it sounds way better. but not as quiet as the glass choke. The only mod I have on my jeep at the moment is the Flowmaster High-Flow Cat. I had an original Series 40 Flowmaster, but I wasn't impressed with the sound it made. Too quiet. I…

Great resonator, don't use it as a "silencer "

Not a bad resonator, not very good as a "silencer". Good thing I needed a resonator! My biggest criticism is that the paint peels off very easily. I'm a bit worried about corrosion but it will take some time to get a proper assessment. Worked for me, hence 4 stars! Update 11/12/14 It's been under my car for almost a year now. It's no longer red, and of course it's rusty, but it's still intact and doesn't look too fragile. For the price I paid ($18), I think it was money well spent. I'll…

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Minor problems

2007 3.8L JK 2-Door It gurgles and sounds awful!

At first I was concerned that the V6, and it's not a sports car, would sound like a stupid Civic driver, but I was dead wrong. Because it's a bigger V6, it sounds really good. I installed it under/between the rear driver's side seat and the driver's seat. and then cut the muffler just before where it clamps the rest of the pipe. The sound is deep and aggressive, and unless you hit 4K rpm you won't get a harsh sound. I am more than satisfied with the result. The only reason for 4 stars is that…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Great price
