Demonstratively good alternative to Glide Cam brand

Demonstratively good alternative to Glide Cam brand. I've used both and to be honest I haven't noticed much of a difference other than the price. Has the micro adjustments you need and is very well built. Have been using this product for about a year. Hold on!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

You can't turn left or right because if the calibration fails

It works very well at first but after two months it just sucks, you have to calibrate every 2 minutes and then there's another problem: If you have calibrated on the right hand and for some reason want to take it with the right hand, it will not work. I want to rotate the gimble when writing, good luck to you, because you will need it. You can't turn left or right, I can't speak English at all, you explain how much it sucks.

Surpassed only by DGS Glidecam

I liked it but thought I could afford the original so I bought the Glidecam 4000. . .and didn't like it that much. I ended up going with the $800 DGS Glidecam and I like it best, but I returned the 4000 and kept this Flycam as a backup. It's not as strong and durable as the DGS, but it works well and the mounting system is great. It's very annoying that other Glidecams don't have a quick edit system and unless you want to afford the rather high price tag of DGS I would recommend you buy this…

Great alternative to more expensive products!

Love this - it's a cheaper version of a very, very expensive product. I've used both now and I can't tell you there's a huge difference. This allows me to do all the same things and there isn't that much of a difference between them to justify a price increase. As others have said - it's not a "let's pull it out and use it" sort of thing - you'll need time to balance it properly and if you do it will do the job properly. I would like to use it more! I'm using a Canon DSLR with a Rode VMPR…

Great, very easy to balance

I've read and seen all the horror stories about FlyCam balancing, mine was balanced in under 15 minutes of assembly. Use logic with it and balancing becomes a breeze. Now on to the product itself. This is my very first FlyCam or levitating device. I was pleasantly satisfied. The video quality is amazing. I strongly recommend a few test runs before using it in real life. I use a camcorder but I'm sure DSLRs will have the same issues, I highly recommend some sort of vest or hand/wrist brace. The…

Great alternative to the Glidecam HD-2000

CHANGE MY ORIGINAL RATING: I've changed my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. The problem I've found (which is a serious one) is that the gimbal clamp that sits around the stem of the stem that connects the grip to the stock isn't straight, flat, and square. The hanger does not lay flat on the mainshaft. This creates a big problem as I balance the camera forward and when you rotate the camera it becomes unbalanced again. You will rotate the camera all the time. I bought the Flycam HD-3000 hoping it
