The spacer blocks the lens and makes it impossible to aim at infinity.

First of all, the seller has no customer service, no reply to your email or anything! The gasket has an inner diameter of 36mm and the lens has a diameter of 42mm, so the gasket prevents the lens from being screwed in all the way and not being able to focus to infinity. Garbage!

Works well, inexpensive, recycles classic M42 lenses

I was experimenting with fitting a 24mm Pentax Super Multi-Coated Takumar lens to a Leica M2. The Fotodiox adapter fits perfectly on the Leica. First, the Takumar lens was upside down, so I had to loosen the small set screws and turn the M42 nut 180 degrees. Fotodiox's instructions say to loosen the screws, but my unit had tiny Allen screws, maybe 0.5mm. However, this is an inexpensive way to use your old threaded lenses.

It serves its purpose albeit poorly

It offers an M42 mount for my Leica CL but the threaded ring was horribly misaligned. After screwing my Jupiter 9 in, I noticed that the lens was offset by about 90 degrees. I was able to "fix" this by taking a very small flathead screwdriver and loosening the 3 screws that held the silver ring in place, then twisting it into position along with the lens, and then screwing it back in. will void any warranty and scratch the black surface. With the adapter, I noticed that the focus distance was…
