Fox 479 knife on the hunt

This blade is amazing! Have had it for a while now, it's very comfortable to hold and care for. The blade automatically opens when I carry it in my pocket when I draw it, so don't waste time. It's very well built, with a minimalist feel, so you can't really go wrong with it. So I assume that the knife will be lost for a very long time.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No automatic

Pocket clip broke after only 10 months

Pocket clip broke after 10 months of non daily wear and very infrequent use. In all my experience with flashlights and knives with pocket clips, I've never had a single breakage. The Emerson wave function of this knife is useless without a pocket clip. This is part of the system. Foxknives makes no warranties. They want $19 to buy me a new belt clip. Not at all happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Nothing

The design lacks practical features.

Construction is typical of the other two Fox knives (DARTs and Trainer) and is of high quality. The wave function is too open and won't snag on clothing when pulled when trimmed like DART. The grip ergonomics appear to be designed for a forward grip rather than a reverse grip, which is unusual for a folding karambit. The only way I can consistently open is with a front grip, using the fin and opening it with a flick of the wrist.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some cons

Not worth the money.

I wish I could write a great review for this product, but honestly I can't. My first one broke on the first day. And my second doesn't seem to be as strong as the first. Certainly not worth the cost. I understand it's a karambit, but if you put it next to a carbon steel fixed-shaft, fixed-blade knife (they're about the same price), I'd spend all day looking for Esee. Another completely different category of knives, but only in terms of value.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Secret

Replacement G-10 Worse than the original!

I must have been unlucky! Either this or this knife (#2) and the one I returned are manufacturing defects. I sent the first G10 back because it was difficult to open and impossible to close without a flathead screwdriver. No lubrication or screw adjustment helped. A second G-10 arrived, which was even stiffer and more difficult to open and close than the first. Pooh! How I envy all the G-10s in the videos that open and close so quickly with a light thumb squeeze! It's best to buy from a storeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Probably my favorite stabby of all time.

I opened the box and felt a sense of strength, no, a slight invincibility. I actually gasped when the box opened and my eyes fell on the prize hidden in the pulp coffin. I reached out reluctantly, as if waiting for a sound of approval from the death god himself before being deemed worthy to wield such a fine weapon of chaos. The sturdy clip and coarsely textured G-10 scales meant this knife wasn't going anywhere until I decided it needed to be varnished. It will stay in my pocket like a swordโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
