My daughter is 11 and she loves this skirt. She is Girly 14/16 and Big was perfect for her. This is a straight skirt and the color is beautiful. The material is soft. Because of the straight cut, she has to wear a longer shirt to cover her buttocks. Below is a little less modest than we would like, a bit tight. Overall I like it and she says it's very comfortable. She's also tall for her age and a few inches above her ankles.

This skirt is advertised as a maxi skirt which usually means ankle length. It was just below my 10 year old niece's knees and she is the smallest in her class. The waist was ok, she thought it felt nice, but it was significantly shorter than expected. She had to wear it because we ordered it at the last minute for a colonial era costume for school. We were glad it arrived on time but really wish it was 6-8 inches longer to be a true maxi length.

Our 11 year old daughter needed a black skirt for a drama she was in. Because of her height and thinness, she often finds it difficult to find long enough/modest skirts. This medium size is PERFECT. The length is great, as is the waist. Although slim, this skirt is flared to fit those with slightly shorter waists. What worried me was that it would fall, but it doesn't.
