Can be used as macro lens with Nikon camera

Bought to try macro photography. I realized that it can work with Nikon as a macro lens and I'm trying it. Focusing is tricky (no autofocus) but with patience, a flash and a diffuser I'm sure it can be done. I was able to photograph snowflakes but I need to fix the flash problem, I need a better diffuser. If you're getting into macro photography and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is a good option. The photos I posted are unedited.

Super underrated

These things are cheap. Let me start with that. It won't last forever, but for the price, it's a no-brainer for Sony APS-C cameras like the A6000. It definitely has character. So if you're looking for picture perfection, look for something in the $500-$1,000 range. It has a beautiful flash of light which I love. There's also a bit of vignetting, so it's not good for video unless it's all shot with that lens. If you try to mix it with other recordings you will notice the difference. Anyway, I…

Excellent lens for the price

Surprisingly good considering. I took a cheap used Sony NEX-5 and bought several cheap lenses for it. If I ever just want to pick up the camera and start playing, I always grab this lens. The thread size of the filter is not standard, appears to be 35.5mm, but I bought a 34-37mm adapter and glued it to the front of the lens and it worked really well. The bokeh has a really nice character, surprisingly well adjusted. The Helios 44-2, which I also have, takes a much better picture but is heavier…
